As the winter chill carries on, we are trying to force the hand of spring...and thus the annual purchase of seeds begins with thoughts of a fruitful bounty in the year ahead. Purchased through a local Ontario supplier of organic seeds and advocator of "Seeds of Diversity", we are always thrilled to try out something new. This year we plan to grow Chinese cabbage (Pok Choy), Shirofumi Edamame, Laurentian rutabaga, Anna Aasa cherry tomato, Lacinato (or Dino) kale, Bull's blood beet, Stowell's evergreen sweet corn, mustard mesclun mix, and a brassica mix. Of course, the gourds, potatoes, snap peas, arugulas, and various beans will all be grown again as well. Shout out to "Terra Edibles" of Foxboro, Ontario.
