What's in a Name?
Humblebeez came to fruition in 2011, in London Ontario where the apiary was initially born. The definition of humble (showing a modest estimate of one's own importance) is a perfect description of the honey bee...providing us with a multitude of gifts through hard work and no demands. I wanted to credit the honey coming from the true source...not me...not Tehkummah, not the farm but truly from the "humble" bee.
The origin of our farm name derives from the old English word for "creek" . Our farm land is located in the hollow of Blue Jay Creek. With rolling hills, forested areas, open fields, flowing waters, the beauty of the land is present in all its flora and fauna. It is a perfect location to keep bees and grow our own food.. all chemical free.
